Ingredients
- 33 ripe bananas
- all-purpose flour
- 150 g3/4 cup sugar
- 76 g3/8 cup butter, melted
- 1 large1 large egg
- 5 ml1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 ml1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch1 pinch salt
Instructions
- 1 Preheat oven to 175°C350°F (175°C345°F) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- 2 In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork until mostly smooth. Melt the butter and stir into mashed bananas. Add egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- 3 Sprinkle in baking soda and salt, then stir in sugar. Add all-purpose flour and fold gently until just combined—do not overmix.
- 4 Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is deep golden brown.
- 5 Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack. Slice and serve as-is or with butter.

What kind of nuts are best for this. I would love to have walnuts but should I use pecans (sugary) or plain walnuts?
